Rebels For A Cause
As the spread of COVID-19 increases throughout our Six States and the country, we see more steps being taken to keep us all safe. People are being asked to work from home, work in a reduced capacity, or worse, laid off. The ones most affected are those in the service industry. Many of our friends, family, and fellow Rebels rely primarily on tips to survive; restaurants and bars with skeleton crews are closed for dine-in meals or have shut down completely. Their livelihood is severely affected.
Brass Monkey has been the home for the Rebellion for the better part of the last decade. Oscar (owner) and his staff have played an integral part in the Rebellion’s history, allowing us to use their space for watch parties, general assembly meetings, and have sponsored the Rebellion Supporters’ Cup team in the past. They have played a major role in growing soccer supporter culture in New England. They are part of the Rebellion family. They need us more than ever.
Brass Monkey needs our help. Rebels need our help.
We are proud to announce the start of a GoFundMe page to help raise funds for the staff of Brass Monkey as well as current Rebellion members affected by the coronavirus.
If you or someone you know can benefit from the funds raised, we ask you to fill out one of the forms at the bottom of this page. All applications will be handled in strict confidence. Grants will be issued to verified applicants in pro-rata share of proceeds, at the end of the current fundraiser period. The donation and application period will run from 3/21/2020 to and through 4/11/2020.
As a thank you for your donations we will enter people into a random drawing for a giveaway.
Each giveaway is based on the amount you donate. Each additional donation in the selected amount will provide you with another chance/ticket for the prize drawings.
We anticipate that the Rebellion organization will be recognized as exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) before the end of the year, and thus your contributions/donations would then be tax-deductible by the donor for the tax year 2020.
