Member Appreciation Tailgate
Cornhole and fun ruled the day at The Rebellion's 2024 Member Appreciation Tailgate on Saturday, July 13. New champs were crowned in the 3rd Annual Cornhole Tournament and one lucky Rebel won the raffle, walking away with a special cornhole prize.
Jaydon Perez and Heather Beck lived up to the “champ” in their team name - CPC Champs 2K24 - for the Cornhole Tournament, as they tossed the best bean bags in Lot 3B to win it all.
Perez and Beck beat out the duos of Meatsack Mafia, Post Game Tacos, Gabagooligans, and in the final round, Meatsack Old Guys, to earn the trophy and their prize of two Rebellion Bury Me in the Pines summer scarves. This was Perez and Beck’s third time participating in the tournament. They were eliminated in the first round in 2023 and placed second in 2022. This was also Meatsack Old Guys second year in a row falling short in the finals.
Sixteen total teams battled it out through four rounds of play during the tailgate prior to the Revolution taking on Orlando City SC. Roughly 40 percent of the teams were first-time participants and new to the tournament this year was a play-in round.
In more of the day's cornhole news, Rebel Danny Jimenez won the Member Appreciation Raffle and took home two one of a kind Bury Me in the Pines cornhole boards. Thank you all who bought tickets. We raised $285 to One Tree Planted which means we just planted 285 trees!
The Member Appreciation Tailgate is all about showing love to our Rebel family, so amongst all the fun, members enjoyed burgers, hot dogs, drinks and chips all served and cooked by fellow Rebels.
Thank you to everyone who chipped in to make this special tailgate possible. We appreciate you and all Rebellion members!
