Bus trip to Yankee Stadium
One of the most frequently asked questions we get at Rebellion HQ is “When are you going to do another bus trip?” We hear stories all the time about people’s first bus trips, how it got them hooked on supporter culture, how so and so got sick that one time and it was so funny (you know how you are…….). Well guess what, it’s time for a bus trip!
Join us on Saturday September 7th as we hit the road to the Big Apple, the City so nice they named it twice (Manhattan is the other name), to watch our Revs take on NYCFC!
But this won’t be just a normal bus trip, oh no no. We have something a little different planned for this one. One of the major reasons we want to run this trip is to give you Rebels a memorable game day experience on the road. So we remembered back a few years ago, when a smaller group of Rebels ventured outside the confines of beautiful New England to travel to Yankee Stadium. It was a happy accident that before that game, the other team that plays at Gillette was also playing a New York team, so they decided to find some place to take in that game as a warm up. And in the hustle and bustle of the busy streets of NYC, they found a hidden gem.
Professor Thoms is THE New England Sports bar in New York City. It is headquarters for any displaced New England sports fans living in the lion's den. We reached out and they heard we wanted to bring 50 rowdy, crazed soccer supporters down for a little pre game indoor tailgate and they couldn’t have been more excited. SO, here is the plan.
6:30 am - Depart the supporters’ lot at Gillette Stadium
11:30 am - Bus drops us at Professor Thoms in NYC
2:00 pm - Head to the subway for the uptown journey to Yankee Stadium
2:30 pm - Head into Yankee Stadium and watch our Revs beat NYCFC
After the game, we will head back to Gillette Stadium with 3 points, and a whole bunch of fun memories!
