Free Beer Movement’s Better Know a Supporters Group!

REBEL HQ: We met Dan, from the Free Beer Movement during the American Outlaws Rally in Las Vegas.  Free Beer Movement in name alone meant two things to me: A. This guy has money to lose or B. He truly cares about spreading this game in America and has found a unique and new way to do so.  Surely it was B.  Dan put on a great presentation having to follow Alexi Lalas and SI writer Grant Wahl.  One slide stuck out in my head that he used to sum up the Free Beer Movement,  FBM was  ”A silly idea with a serious goal.”  Beer is a huge part of soccer and its culture.  Few things on Earth have the power to bring humans together like beer and soccer.  So check out the site, learn the message and figure out a way you can get involved.  Head to a bar and watch a game over a few rounds.  Invite a friend to a game, promise him or her a free beer.  You can even steal it from my cooler!    You’ve got nothing to lose.  But what if they don’t like beer or end up liking soccer?  Guess what, the FBM just did you another favor and helped you realize that that person isn’t really your friend!  Ha!

The Free Beer Movement has been doing what no one has done.  They are profiling MLS Supporters Groups providing their history, mission and allowing us to babble on the soap box for a bit.  This week, it’s our turn, a beautiful double feature includes your very own Rebellion!!!!
